The Phoenix Haven Project
Advocacy by survivors, for survivors.
We're a grassroots, survivor-led initiative offering trauma-informed support, emergency resource navigation, and practical tools for healing. Our mission is simple: to make sure no one is left behind.
More Than a Project—It’s a Promise.
The Phoenix Haven Project was born from lived experience. After facing the cracks in a system meant to protect us, we chose to build something better. We’re not a traditional organization. We’re survivor-run, community-driven, and rooted in the belief that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. We serve every survivor, no matter the complexity of their story. Here, you are seen, heard, and valued—just as you are.
Compassion. Clarity. Advocacy that meets you where you are.
The Phoenix Haven Project offers trauma-informed support and resource navigation for survivors of domestic violence, led by those who’ve walked the path themselves.

A Note from Our Founder
This didn’t begin as a plan. It began as a fight.A fight to be heard. A fight to be safe. A fight to rebuild when the systems meant to protect me stepped aside.
I’ve lived the “we can’t help you.” I’ve survived the silence that follows. The Phoenix Haven Project was born from the ashes of that fight — not as charity, but as defiance.
A refusal to let anyone else walk that road alone. This isn’t about fixing survivors.
It’s about standing with them. Lifting the weight. Cutting through red tape.
And reminding every person who’s been told they’re “too complicated” that they are not too much. This project is personal.
It’s built with scraped hands, sleepless nights, and a promise:
No more closed doors. Not on my watch.— Charlotte Phoenix Gibbs-Welton
